Analysing a document with AI

Analyse with AI reads a booking document and fills in the details for you. It is a Pro feature and uses AI credits.

Running it

1. 1Open the document, or the itinerary entry it is attached to.
2. 2Press Analyse with AI.
3. 3Review what came back.

What it looks for

• The provider or venue, and the type of booking.
• Dates and times.
• The confirmation or reference number.
• The amount and its original currency, plus an approximate amount in a second currency where that helps.
• How much has been paid, how much is left, and whether payment is due later.

Reviewing before it saves

Nothing is saved until you confirm. The review step shows every field it found, so you can correct a misread time or currency and add what it missed.

Turning it into a plan entry

From the review step you can create the itinerary entry, or fill in the entry you started from. The document stays attached to it.

Adding the cost to Money

Where the document shows a price, BucketBuddy offers to create an expense so the money lands in Money without retyping. You choose the payment status, and you can split it between travellers then or later. A booking that is not paid yet can still be added. Skipping this step is always fine.

If it gets it wrong

Photos of crumpled paper and screenshots of screenshots are hard to read. Correct the fields by hand, or attach a clearer copy and run it again. Correcting by hand costs nothing.
