Only the person clicking an AI button needs Pro. Everyone else sees and benefits from the AI output.
Can we settle up at the end of the trip instead of every expense?+
Yes. Log expenses all trip, then hit Reconcile in Settle up — the app works out the minimum number of transfers and emails every member their personal ledger.
Does the app work offline?+
Recently-opened trips are cached, and new expenses/tasks/packing items queue while you're offline and sync automatically when you're back on.
Can I share the trip with people who aren't using BucketBuddy?+
Yes — turn on the public share link. You pick which sections (photos, map, itinerary, bookings, members) are visible. No account needed to view.
Do you support multiple currencies?+
Yes. Log each expense in the currency you paid in — everything is auto-converted to the trip's base currency using daily FX rates for totals and reconciliation.
Can I show followers where I am right now?+
Yes — live check-ins post your place, time and a name for the stop. Add a photo from your camera or library, or let AI paint the place for you with Pro. Check-ins appear on the trip map, the day planner and the shared album.
Can I put a password on the share link?+
Yes. Turn on passcode protection for the read-only trip link and only people with the passcode can open it — the passcode is included automatically in the invite emails you send.
Can I print or download the trip?+
Pro members can generate an A4 trip summary with an AI-illustrated cover, the full day-by-day timeline and flight, stay and booking panels — then save it as a PDF or print it.
Can I add restaurants and places to a specific day?+
Yes. Search any place or restaurant with Google-powered lookup and add it to the day you want, or use the near-me sort on destination insights to see what's closest to you.
Can I see who uploaded each photo?+
Every photo shows the uploader's name, and you can filter the album by person, filter by day, sort by newest, oldest or the date taken, and bulk save or delete a selection.
