Trip Map

Every place tied to a trip on a single interactive map — destination, itinerary stops, hotels/airports from booking documents, and photos with GPS.

What you'll see

  • Pins for the trip destination, each itinerary stop with a location, hotels/flights parsed from booking documents, and geotagged photos.
  • Day filter — pick a day to see just that day's stops. "All days" shows every day, each in a different colour.
  • Route lines — when one day is selected, stops are joined in order with an estimated driving distance and time (walking for very short hops).
  • Click a pin for the stop name, day/time, address and a link to open in Google Maps.

Adding a place from the map

  1. 1Pick a day using the chips at the top.
  2. 2Click the map where you want a new stop.
  3. 3The address is reverse-geocoded — give it a title and (optional) time, then save. It's added to that day's itinerary.

Where coordinates come from

  • Itinerary stops — use the Location field in the add/edit dialog. It suggests places as you type (Google Places) and saves the exact coordinates.
  • Hotels and flights — the AI booking review extracts the primary venue and geocodes it automatically.
  • Photos — GPS EXIF data is read from your phone photos at upload time. Screenshots and edited photos usually strip this — that's expected.
  • Destination — geocoded when you save the trip idea, or on demand.

Backfilling older trips

Older items may not have coordinates. Hit Locate stops on the map to batch-geocode itinerary items that only have text.
