Sharing your trip with followers

A share link gives people a read only page for your trip. They see what you choose to share, and they can never change anything.

Creating the link

Open the trip and press Share. Copy the link, or send it from the dialog by entering an email address.

Sending it on

• Copy link and paste it into a message, group chat or email.
• Email it from the share dialog if you would rather BucketBuddy send it.
• Add a passcode if the link is going somewhere public. See Passcode-protecting the share link.

What followers can see

The sections you have switched on: the overview, the day by day itinerary, photos, the map and route, and the guestbook. Booking entries appear as plan entries, not as full confirmations.

What followers never see

Money, tasks, packing, trip chat, documents and private notes. Following a trip gives nobody a say in it.

Signed in followers

Someone with a BucketBuddy account can save a shared trip so it appears under Trips, then Shared with you. That is still view only. It does not make them a crew member or a trip participant. See Followers, participants and shared trips.

If a follower should be helping

Invite them to the trip instead. See Inviting people.

Turning it off

Press Share, then Disable link. The address stops working immediately. You can also reset the link, which breaks the old address for everyone.
