Notifications

BucketBuddy sends three kinds of notification:

• In app: The bell in the top bar.
• Push: Notifications on your phone or computer, once you allow them.
• Email: For the things worth an inbox, such as invitations and payment requests.

Managing them

Open Profile, then Notifications. For each kind of event, chat messages, new trip ideas, votes, payment requests and activity, you can switch in app, push and email on or off independently.

Push notifications

Push is on by default where your device allows it, so there is usually nothing to set up. If push is not arriving:

1. 1Check the Notifications section of your device settings.
2. 2Look for the small "Push blocked" banner in BucketBuddy and open Unblock help for step by step instructions.
3. 3Installing BucketBuddy as an app makes push more reliable. See Install as an App.

Turning things down

Switch off individual channels for individual events. There is no need to sign out.
