Continue on your phone

Planning on a computer? BucketBuddy can hand you straight over to your phone — no typing links, no searching for the trip again.

Scanning the QR code

• On a computer you will see a Continue on your phone card in your Profile, on the setup checklist step "Take BucketBuddy with you", in this Help Centre, and on a trip's Overview.
• Open your phone camera (or any QR scanner) and point it at the code.
• Tap the link your phone offers. BucketBuddy opens on the page you were looking at on the computer.
• Prefer not to scan? The same link sits underneath the code as selectable text with a Copy link button, so you can message or email it to yourself.
• Refresh QR simply redraws the code — handy if your camera struggles with glare or scaling.

Signing in

• If you are already signed in to BucketBuddy on your phone, you go straight to the page.
• If you are not, you land on the normal sign-in screen. Sign in with the same BucketBuddy account and we bring you right back to the page you scanned for.
• The QR code never contains your login details — no password, no sign-in token, no magic link. It is just a normal BucketBuddy web address. If somebody else scans your code they only reach the sign-in screen; they cannot get into your account.

Installing BucketBuddy

• Once BucketBuddy is open on your phone, use Show install instructions (or the install button in your Profile) to add it to your home screen.
• Installing is free and does not involve the App Store or Play Store.
• On a phone you will see the install option instead of a QR code — you are already on the device you want BucketBuddy on.

Returning to the same trip

• The code always represents whatever you are looking at right now, so scanning from a trip page returns you to that trip, and scanning from your Profile returns you to your Profile.
• Nothing about your trip, your crew or your permissions changes during the handoff. You simply continue where you left off.
