Trip ideas show a per-person estimated cost so nobody signs up for something they can't afford.

How it works

• On your profile, set your comfortable per-trip budget range.
• Each trip idea has an estimated per-person cost. BucketBuddy compares your budget to each idea and flags the fit.
• The Compatibility Score downgrades ideas that sit outside most members' budgets.

Updating a trip idea's budget

Anyone in the crew can edit the estimated cost as plans firm up:

1. 1Open the trip idea.
2. 2Click Edit trip.
3. 3Update the estimate — the Budget cards on the Dashboard and Trip Summary refresh automatically.

Tracking real spend

Once a trip is confirmed, log expenses under Expenses & Splits. The Dashboard's Budget vs spent card compares your personal spend against your share of the budget.
