Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 6, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of BucketBuddy ("the app", "the service"), operated by Talk Digital ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who you are contracting with
You are contracting with Talk Digital, the operator of BucketBuddy. You confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction (or have parental consent) and, if using the service on behalf of an organisation, have authority to bind it.
2. The service
BucketBuddy is a travel planning app for solo trips and crew trips. It lets you and any crew you invite shortlist destinations, vote, align calendars and budgets, manage bookings, tasks and expenses, and (with a Pro subscription) use AI-powered planning features.
3. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate our policies.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service. In particular, you must not:
- Use the service unlawfully or for fraud, spam or harassment.
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights of any person.
- Interfere with security or availability (malware, probing, scraping, denial of service, circumventing rate limits or technical restrictions).
- Reverse engineer, resell, sublicense or redistribute the service, except as permitted by law.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you upload (trip ideas, chat, documents, photos). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit and process that content solely to operate and improve the service for you and the trip participants you share it with. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload.
6. AI features
- AI outputs (itineraries, summaries, insights, receipt/booking extractions) may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for verifying important information (visas, flight details, bookings, expense totals) before relying on it.
- You must not use AI features to generate illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech, malware, or content that infringes rights or attempts to jailbreak the underlying models.
- You must have the rights to any content you submit as input. We may remove, restrict, filter or refuse outputs and may suspend accounts that repeatedly misuse AI features.
- AI outputs are not professional advice (legal, medical, financial, immigration, etc.).
7. Subscriptions, payment & refunds — Paddle as Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, taxes, invoicing, subscription cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy. See our Refund Policy for how to request a refund. You can cancel a subscription at any time from the Billing page; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
8. Intellectual property
Talk Digital and its licensors retain all rights, title and interest in the service, including software, design, branding and documentation. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with your plan.
9. Service availability & warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or meet your specific requirements. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose).
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, incidental or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence).
11. Indemnity
You will indemnify Talk Digital against third-party claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.
12. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time (Profile → Danger zone). We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination, your right to use the service ends; we may delete your data within a reasonable period in line with our Privacy Notice.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use of the service after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Talk Digital's principal place of business, without regard to conflict of laws rules. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights available to you locally.
15. Assignment & force majeure
You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
