The four stages of a trip

A trip moves through four stages on its own, based on the trip and its dates. You never set the stage by hand.

Deciding

Nothing is confirmed yet. You are collecting trip ideas, voting, and comparing dates and budgets.

Planning

The trip is confirmed and still ahead of you. The countdown appears, and the day by day plan, tasks and documents are where the work happens.

On the trip

You are inside the trip dates. Check-ins, photos and today's plan move to the front.

Wrap up

The dates have passed. The photo album, the trip summary and settling up take over.

If a stage looks wrong

• A trip with no end date stays on the trip until you add one.
• BucketBuddy allows a short grace period after your end date, so a late flight home does not end the trip too early.
• To fix the stage, fix the dates in Plan.
