What do visitors see on a shared trip link?

A public trip link is a read-only view for people who are not part of your BucketBuddy group. The page is designed to feel like a travel story rather than a spreadsheet.

What visitors can see

• A live pulse card at the top that shows the current phase of the trip (coming up, live now, or recap), a progress bar, and the current or next stop.
• Stories: each day is turned into a chronological timeline of stops, check-ins and photos with a title like “Arrival → City Centre”.
• The full itinerary: day-by-day stops, booking highlights, and photo strips from each day.
• A map with the destination, stops, bookings, photos and check-ins. Visitors can play an animated route through the days, or jump to the latest check-in.
• The photo gallery: grid and story layouts, with the option to download a day or the whole album.
• A guestbook where visitors can leave comments and ask questions.
• A reactions bar so visitors can like days, photos, and individual trip moments.

What visitors cannot do

• They cannot edit the itinerary, add expenses, or see booking details like confirmation numbers and addresses unless you have chosen to share them.
• They cannot see crew messages or member-only notes.

Interaction level

By default, visitors are mostly spectators. The guestbook and reactions are optional, lightweight ways for them to participate without changing your plan.

How to turn the link off or reset it Go to the trip inside your crew and open the Share settings. You can disable the link, reset the token (which breaks the old URL), or choose which sections are visible.
