What do visitors see on a shared trip link?

A share link is a read only view of your trip for people who are not on it. It is written to read like a travel story rather than a spreadsheet.

What visitors can see

• Where the trip is up to: coming up, happening now, or a look back afterwards, with the current or next stop.
• The day by day plan, with times, places and check-ins in order.
• Photos, grouped by day, with the option to download a day or the whole album.
• A map with the destination, the planned stops and the check-ins, so followers can see the route travelled.
• A guestbook, where visitors can leave a note or ask you a question.
• Reactions on the trip, on days and on photos.

What visitors cannot see or do

• They cannot edit anything.
• They never see Money, tasks, packing, trip chat, documents or private notes.
• Booking entries show as plan entries. Confirmation numbers and private notes stay with the people on the trip.
• Location details are limited to the location information shared with the trip page. Home addresses are not published.

How involved they get

By default visitors are mostly spectators. The guestbook and reactions are light ways to join in without changing your plan.

Turning the link off or resetting it

Open the trip and go to the Share settings. You can disable the link, reset it so the old address stops working, or change which sections are visible.
